Bray Primary Creative Cluster - Building Bridges
June 2025
As the initiative comes to a close, we would like to share some highlights from the last two years of our Creative Cluster programme. It has been a wonderful opportunity to bring together our three neighbouring primary schools, St. Cronan’s N.S., Gaelscoil Uí Chéadaigh and St. Patrick’s N.S. in a celebration of art, imagination, and teamwork!
Over the past two years, pupils from the three schools participated in a variety of creative workshops. These sessions gave our students the chance to explore new art forms, work alongside children from other schools, and express themselves in fresh and exciting ways.
Here’s a snapshot of the activities we enjoyed both together and simultaneously:
- Seanchaí
- Storyteller
- Sean-nós singing
- Knitting classes
- Bodhrán workshop
- Creating greeting cards for local nursing homes
- Carol singing at local nursing home
- Ceillí session with Irish dancing
- Ceillí at Marino Special School
- Willow weaving
- Stop-Go Animation
- Weaving workshop
- Printing workshop
- Composing and performing a rap music song
- Dance workshop
We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, imagination, and teamwork our students showed throughout this project. The Creative Cluster programme has not only enriched their learning but also fostered a strong sense of community and shared creativity between our schools. We look forward to maintaining the strong connections we have formed by continuing with some of the activities on an annual basis.
A big thank you to all the workshop facilitators, teachers, and, of course, our wonderful students for making this such a memorable experience.
