Parents as Partners

Parents are the primary educators of their children and research tells us that children do best when the home and school work together. We are very proud of the strong relationships we have with our families. We encourage parent/ guardian’s active participation in your child’s education and value parents as a key stakeholder in our school community.

To support this, we

  • Hold information meetings for incoming Junior Infant children (May and September)
  • Have formal parent-teacher meetings for all classes (usually held in January)
  • Encourage regular communication between families and Class/ Special Education Teachers
  • Send a written report to all parents/ guardians at the end of each school year
  • Keep parents/ guardians up-to-date with school news via Aladdin, monthly Principal letters, school website and social media pages
  • Consult with parents/ guardians on policy development
  • Support the work of our Parents’ Association
