Safer Internet Day 2025
After having won the award for Best Overall Campaign (Primary) in the Webwise Safer Internet Day 2024 Awards, our school participated once again in Safer Internet Day on Tuesday 11th February 2025. We all learned how to stay safe and make the most of being online. From videos and poster presentations from our 6th class girls to all classes, to lessons and stories highlighting staying safe online including this year’s theme of Prepare, Protect, Thrive, to Webwise colouring and poster competitions, it was a busy and informative week. 💻
For parents, Webwise have developed a Parent Information Hub with lots of information, recorded webinars and downloadable publications. Click Webwise to access all of the resources.
Have a look below at some of our winners with their entries, 6th class girls presenting to classes and some winning poster and colouring competition entries from each class. Well done to all who took part in the competitions! 👏
CyberBreak 2024
We took part in CyberBreak, a 24-hour digital detox, on Friday 18th October 2024 from 5pm. The initiative encourages children (and parents!) to build healthy habits like taking breaks from technology and being mindful of having a good online/offline balance. Thank you and well done to our 6th Class girls for creating posters and presentations for all classes to promote the initiative. Have a look at some of the posters below.
We had very special visitors from Virgin Media News and CyberSafeKids on Friday 18th October, interviewing 6th Class about their thoughts on CyberBreak.
