We have an active Student Council in St. Patrick's Loreto, elected from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes each year.

The Student Council had a busy first term, with a hectic campaign leading up to a serious election day! The newly elected council have hit the ground running with a Loreto Schools training day on Zoom, a Christmas Door competition and they are really looking forward to Christmas Colours Day!

One of the highlights this year has been organising and putting together the Dignity Packs. Thank you to the school community for generously donating items for the bags, and to the Applegreen Community Fund for their support! Junior and Senior Infants helped our Student Council pack up all 150 Dignity Packs, so they can start to be delivered near and far to homeless charities.

In June, the Student Council got to visit the Dáil and Seanad as guests of TD Jennifer Whitmore. We were so lucky to see democracy in action, although we feel our own meetings are far more productive!
Finally, we put together a newsletter to round off the year and included 'Sparkle Moments' from each class!
